Smoking cessation: be a quitter!
Keywords: smoking cessation
AbstractCigarette smoking has become a social taboo because of associated harmful health effects. Smoking is reported to be responsible for more annual deaths worldwide than human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune deficiency syndrome, tuberculosis and malaria combined. Smoking causes various types of cancer and respiratory disorders, while increasing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It is not only a health risk to smokers, but also to non-smokers if they are exposed to the cigarette smoke.
